Bruce Archer

Bruce Archer

Bruce Archer plays a primitive Americana infused with blues, bluegrass, folk, and rock influences. His fingerstyle and slide guitar merge his 40+ years of playing a mixture of genres, his Iowa roots, and his years in the Minneapolis alt-rock scene. The results are instrumental and vocal performances that are both gritty and authentic.

Archer's career has taken him from open mic nights in college, through forming, performing in and writing for bands that regularly played high profile alt-music clubs in Uptown, Downtown and West Bank Minneapolis, to returning to performing solo in the north woods of Minnesota. He's enjoyed playing with some top-notch musicians as well as sharing the bill with such notables as Corey Medina & Brothers, Charlie Parr, The Jimmys, Cactus Blossoms, legendary bass guitarist Ronnie Lane (Small Faces), the Uppity Blues Women, the Jayhawks, the Gear Daddies’ frontman Martin Zellar, the Phones, and Run Westy Run.

Through it all, he has relied on his Iowa roots and sense of who he is, bringing a raw authenticity to his performances.

Masterful finger-picking and slide guitar punctuate the highly autobiographical lyrics of Archer’s album THE HALLOWED LAND. This eclectic, sometimes rollicking, sometimes reflective, genre-bending album is a paean to traditional storytelling. Look for it on Amazon, iTunes, Spotify, Pandora, YouTube, and other streaming services as well as www.brucearchermusic.com.

The Don Harvey Duo

The Don Harvey Duo

Quality original music, and songs you've heard before... like you've never heard them before. They play acoustic rock, old country, and some award-winning original music.

The duo has released their 5th CD of original music entitled “More Than I Deserve”.  The new recording also brings together some of the area’s finest musicians, including the international fiddle sensation Randy Sabien. Don Harvey is more than just an award-winning singer/songwriter.  He’s a dynamic entertainer with a honey drenched vocal, a lively harmonica, and is a skillful acoustic guitar player. His songs are insightful, melodic, and have memorable hooks. He won the Larryfest (KVAMA) Songwriting Contest in 2008. Don can also wow an audience with his miniature harmonica, some unbelievable whistling, or quirky dance.

Sam Pfaff adds dynamics and drive with his expressive percussion on the congas and bongos. He tends to call it “coffeehouse percussion” because it’s never loud or overbearing. Sam played on the steering wheel of his van for years before becoming a professional hand drummer.  The Don Harvey Duo also performs premier John Prine and Neil Young tribute acts and a 1970’s acoustic show. The Duo plays somewhere in the Midwest most every weekend. The Don Harvey Duo likes to approach every performance as a concert even if they are playing a dive bar.

Ryan Sullivan Music

*Although he has been singing like an angel and playing guitar for close to 30 years, Ryan's path to professional musicianship has been anything but linear or traditional.  With his career aspirations thwarted by PTSD and its associated loss of self, Ryan medically retired from his job as a Police Officer in late 2020.

*Ryan began the ardous task of working to reclaim his sense of value and inner-worth, his ability to love himself and therefore, to feel and receive the love of others closest to him, most notably that of his wife and three young children.

*In 2021 Ryan underwent a routine knee surgery which was complicated by a persistent MRSA infection and septic arthritis, requiring numerous hospitalizations staged surgeries over the course of 2 years, that resulted in loss of native knee and left femoral nerve paralysis.

*Being laid up for years and becoming permanently disabled did not help with Ryan's endeavor to reclaim his lost sense of worth or purpose.

*It did, however, help with his guitar chops. A LOT.

*If only there were a way to turn his passion for music performance into a career….

*In 2024 The Limb Lab in Rochester, MN helped Ryan obtain an orthotic brace called Icarus Hercules (powerful name, right?)  which is helping him resume some of his old mischievous ways.

*Ryan is just getting this thang' moving again, join along for the ride!

Samantha Grimes

Folk, rock, blues, country and more combine to create the iconic sound of Samantha Grimes - Americana grown in the Midwest.  Her natural inclination towards melodies and storytelling set her apart from her peers early on. That - and the happy accident that became her signature style: Left-handed and upside down guitar playing. For 25 years, Samantha has been performing her all-original music. Her solo live performances earned her the distinction of Entertainer of the Year in 2024 for the International Singer/Songwriter Association, as well as Americana Folk Artist of the Year for the Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry. She is also a member of the Midwest All Music Hall of Fame, and was recently crowned Maverick of the Year for the Midwest Country Music Organization. Her latest album, "Stripped" garnered Grammy consideration and has been opening doors to performing with regional and international acts such as Eli Young Band and Charlie Parr.
